TX hounds Update from Jean Minnier
09/20/2014
On Friday, 9-19-14, one of the TX rescue volunteers was allowed the first visit to view first hand some of the rescue hounds. Today, 9-20-14, five IWCA and SCIWC members, including a veterinarian, were all allowed to not only visit but put their hands on most all of the rescue hounds. We are on our way to receiving exact dates from the SPCA when pick up of these hounds can begin….maybe in another week. Thank you all for your offers of help, for your patience and for donations received by the IWF.

Veterinarian’s report is below:
"I can report that I've personally seen and handled the wolfhounds at the Houston SPCA. The staff and the facility are amazing. The dogs are now well cared for and the vast majority of them are in moderately good shape even though they are badly in need of grooming. While lacking socialization, all of the adults appear to me to be adoptable, though many will take patience and a gentle hand during their transition to their new lives. "Autumn Rose", the bitch featured in early photos, has blossomed into a happy outgoing individual and is out of danger after medical treatment by the SPCA."
